June 2010 - Schultheis Insurance Launches iPhone App
The Schultheis Insurance Agency is happy to continually increase the ways for their clients to interact with the agency by releasing the Schultheis Insurance Agency iPhone App. Schultheis Insurance customers that own an iPhone can now submit claims wirelessly through the app found in Apple's App Store. January 2010 - Kenan Schultheis Selected as IIABA Grassroots Leader
On January 25th, the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America (IIABA) selected Kenan Schultheis as a Grassroots Leader. The Grassroots Leader award goes to an individual that dedicates themselves to the answering the call to legislative action alerts. This designation has only been presented to 412 individuals across the nation. Kenan's work not only goes to help to strengthen independent insurance agency legislation for Schultheis Insurance, but for every independent agency in the United States.
Schultheis Insurance Named to Accident Fund's Agency Hall of Fame
Schultheis Insurance is proud to be included in Accident Fund's 2010 Agency Hall of Fame. The Agency Hall of Fame is recognition for those agencies that write the most new business each month. This designation is awarded to two agencies in each state who prove their commitment to profitable growth with the carrier.
Schultheis Insurance Supports Activities of the Independent Insurance Agents of Evansville
IIAE (Independent Insurance Agents of Evansville) is an organization of members of the community’s independent insurance agencies. Schultheis agents are members of IIAE and are active in support of their projects for the betterment of the community. For the 2010-2011 two-year term, Terry Martin, CIC, CWCA of Schultheis Insurance Agency was named President, and Benjamin Schultheis, CWCA of Schultheis Insurance Agency will be President-Elect of the board of directors.
A primary goal of the Independent Insurance Agents of Evansville is to enrich the lives of the community they serve through grants donated to organizations within Evansville. In addition to sponsoring locally run programs, the IIAE funds scholarships for area high school seniors who will be attending secondary education institutions.

Schultheis Insurance Named a Platinum Tier Inner Circle Agency by State Auto Mutual Insurance Company
Schultheis Insurance Agency was named a Platinum Tier Inner Circle Agency by State Auto Mutual Insurance Company. This award is presented to agencies that maintain profitability, hav e at least $1.5 million in premium and meet new growth goals. 2009 marks the 8th consecutive year the Schultheis Insurance Agency received the award.

Kenan Schultheis Awarded the Harry P. Cooper Industry Image Award
Evansville, IN – Kenan Schultheis of Schultheis Insurance Agency has been awarded the 2009 Independent Insurance Agents of Indiana (IIAI) 2009 Harry P. Cooper, Jr., Industry/Public Image Award. He was honored on November 14 at an awards ceremony at the IIAI Annual Convention in Indianapolis.
The annual award recognizes an individual who has enhanced the public image of the insurance profession. Schultheis was chosen for the award based on evaluations regarding his knowledge of the industry and industry issues, community involvement, educational projects, committee and advisory council service, service on the IIAI board of directors and his long-standing membership in the IIAI.
Schultheis is an Evansville native and a third-generation agent for the family-owned Schultheis Insurance Agency. This is the second time Kenan has received Industry/Public Image Award which he was also awarded in 2006. Schultheis Insurance was recognized as Independent Agency of the Year by the IIAI in both 1996 and 2007, and is the only agency in Southern Indiana to have received this award.
October 2009 - Schultheis Insurance Named to Indiana Farmers President's Club
Indiana Farmers Mutual Insurance Company held its 4th Annual President's Club event in October, 2009. This event recognized 10 agencies with $2 million or more in Written Premium Volume with Indiana Farmers in the previous year. This is the third year that the Schultheis Agency has received this honor.
Four More Schultheis Insurance Agents receive Certified Work Comp Advisor Designations.
Terry Martin, Benjamin Schultheis, Tony Snyder, and Lee Sublett earned the prestigious Certified WorkComp Advisor designation, conferred by the Institute of WorkComp Professionals. This certification training provided by the Institute assists insurance professionals in locating costly errors in Workers' Compesation coverage and is essential in reviewing Workers' Compensation insurance reports. The Schultheis agents are now certified to help their clients save money on their Workers' Compensation by helping them have an overcharge-proof audit, improve their hiring skills, implementing an effective “back to work” program for injured employees, and showing them how to drive their experience modifications down to their lowest legal minimums.
Terry, Ben, Tony, and Lee join Brett Schultheis, Bruce Lawson, and Mark VanSant who previously obtained the designation in April 2008.
The certification training provided by the Institute is essential in reviewing Workers' Compensation insurance reports. There are approximately 300 insurance agencies that have staff members who have qualified for the Certified WorkComp Advisor designation.
Headquartered in Asheville, North Carolina, the Institute of WorkComp Professionals trains and certifies professional insurance agents to help businesses better manage their Workers' Compensation programs. Agents must commit to continuing education and recertification every three years. In the eight years since the first advisors were certified, Certified WorkComp Advisors have saved business owners millions of dollars in Workers' Compensation overcharges. January 2009 - Schultheis Insurance Celebrates its 65th Anniversary
2009 is an exciting milestone for the Schultheis Insurance Agency as it marks our 65th year of serving the Evansville community. Started with only files in an apple crate in 1944, Schultheis Insurance is now in its fourth generation of family ownership and has grown to employ 70 employees across four separate locations. We appreciate our clients and their trust in the agency and look forward to serving their insurance needs for another 65 years.
