Director of Commercial Service Operations

Reports to:          President

 

Summary:

The Director of Commercial Lines Service Operations will be responsible for coordinating and over-seeing the day to day activities of the Commercial Lines support staff along with assisting the President with his book of business.    

 

Management Duties:

  • Monitor productivity & workflow to avoid delays in processing  
  • Ensure that agency policy and procedures are adhered to
  • Ensure that timelines are met
  • Assist in the hiring process
  • Train or provide for the training of new hires and current staff
  • Lead department meetings
  • Oversee account discrepancies and accounts receivable
  • Conduct periodic reviews of direct reports
  • Participate in interdepartmental communication and meetings
  • Promote teamwork

 

Servicing Agent Duties:

  • Coordinate expiration list
  • Process new and renewal business
  • Obtain new and or renewal information
  •  Assist in the marketing of accounts
  •  Prepare proposals and applications
  •  Verifying accuracy of policies/endorsements upon issue  
  • Maintain the agency data base
  • Communication with clients in regard to requests for service

  • Good organization skills

 

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years as a Commercial Lines CSA or equivalent position
  • 5 years previous supervisory and operations experience
  • Current Indiana P&C license
