
Director of Commercial Service Operations
Reports to: President
Summary:
The Director of Commercial Lines Service Operations will be responsible for coordinating and over-seeing the day to day activities of the Commercial Lines support staff along with assisting the President with his book of business.
Management Duties:
- Monitor productivity & workflow to avoid delays in processing
- Ensure that agency policy and procedures are adhered to
- Ensure that timelines are met
- Assist in the hiring process
- Train or provide for the training of new hires and current staff
- Lead department meetings
- Oversee account discrepancies and accounts receivable
- Conduct periodic reviews of direct reports
- Participate in interdepartmental communication and meetings
- Promote teamwork
Servicing Agent Duties:
- Coordinate expiration list
- Process new and renewal business
- Obtain new and or renewal information
- Assist in the marketing of accounts
- Prepare proposals and applications
- Verifying accuracy of policies/endorsements upon issue
- Maintain the agency data base
- Communication with clients in regard to requests for service
Qualities Needed:
- Ability to lead and motivate

- Possess strong technical insurance knowledge

- Ability to learn unassisted
- Good organization skills
Qualifications:
- 10+ years as a Commercial Lines CSA or equivalent position
- 5 years previous supervisory and operations experience
- Current Indiana P&C license
